Feeling His Words

Feeling His Words

from 16.00

One of the moments from the Book of Mormon that changed my life comes from 3 Nephi 11. I try to take this chapter slow so that I don’t miss any of the details. There is so much to feel, know, and perceive when reading this chapter. What were the people doing when they heard the voice?

Have I ever felt the words of Christ pierce my center, causing my heart to burn? If so, what was I doing in that moment? Those who were fortunate enough to see the resurrected Savior, witnessed a Man descending out of Heaven. He came down in the midst of them and stretched forth His hand saying, “Behold, I am Jesus Christ.” No other introduction was needed. This was it: the moment that prophets had testified would come to pass.

I can’t help but feel overwhelmed to read “the whole multitude fell to the Earth, for they remembered...” This is Him! Peter knew it as he jumped from his boat, and so did those gathered at the temple on this day. We may not always remember Him because life happens... but if anything else, remember this, He lives and He forgives. “Arise and come forth unto me... that ye May know that I am God of Israel, and the God of the whole Earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.” - Tyler Rickenbach, A Moment With Christ
